Elise Machrone
My Story
My name is Elise Machrone. I grew up in Los Angeles, where I developed an early interest in photography and travel. I studied Economics at the University of Washington, and during college, I started painting for fun. I studied abroad in London and Greece, which deepened my appreciation for architecture, color, and culture.
After graduating, I moved to the Netherlands, where I’ve continued painting and experimenting with different techniques. I often base my work on photos I’ve taken during my travels. My paintings are vibrant and visually engaging, ranging from travel-inspired scenes to abstract pieces that explore color and texture.
I primarily work with acrylics and have also experimented with the Dutch pour technique and molding paste to create added depth and movement. Each piece takes time, with the process varying depending on complexity. Every painting is finished with varnish to protect and enhance the colors.
Travel. Texture. Color. Acrylic paintings that capture places and abstract forms alike.
